Don’t let anyone tell you that your identity isn’t valid because your label is “made up”. All words are made up!

If your label makes sense to you, use it. Everyone else will catch up in time.

Look at your parents, your siblings, your friends, your classmates, the people you pass in the store or on the street every day—nonbinary people can look like any of them. There isn’t just one or even just a few ways a nonbinary person can look. We can look like anyone and everyone.

Don’t assume you can tell whether someone is nonbinary or not just by looking at them. Don’t assume someone’s gender based on appearance at all.

Let nonbinary people be free to express our genders however we feel most comfortable.
